Seeing the ultrasound made everything real.

*Suzie and *James came to CPC scared and overwhelmed. They believed Suzie might be pregnant and shared that, if she was, they felt abortion was their only option. They were confused and frightened, especially because they had only been together once and never expected to find themselves in this situation.

When they met with our staff, Suzie’s pregnancy was confirmed. We took time to answer their questions, explain what was happening in her body, and provide clear, accurate information about pregnancy. When they saw the ultrasound, the reality of the situation began to sink in. The images surprised them and made the pregnancy feel real.

Even after seeing the ultrasound, Suzie and James weren’t sure they were ready for parenting. There were still many fears and unknowns. What they did find was a safe place to talk, learn, and slow down without pressure as they considered their next steps. Before leaving, they made a second appointment with us.
