I came in with questions and left knowing I had support.

Recently, *Sophie called CPC looking for an ultrasound because she wanted to know when she had become pregnant. There were two possible fathers, and she was considering abortion depending on who the father was.

During her appointment, our staff learned more about what she was facing. In her 20s, *Sophie was experiencing an unexpected pregnancy and didn’t know which of the two men was the father. Only a few close people to her knew she was pregnant and encouraged her to come to CPC.

She felt overwhelmed. She had plans for her life, and becoming a mother early wasn’t one of them. She wanted to travel and experience the future she had imagined. Now everything seemed uncertain.

As our Patient Advocate talked with her, they carefully explained her pregnancy options: parenting, adoption, and abortion. When adoption came up, *Sophie responded, “Thank you for mentioning that, because I really thought I only had two options.”

The conversation soon turned to faith. *Sophie shared that she was a Christian and felt deeply conflicted. She couldn’t imagine choosing abortion and carrying that decision with her for the rest of her life. Our staff reminded her of God’s love, shared the hope found in Jesus, and read Matthew 11:28 with her. When asked if she would like prayer, she enthusiastically said yes.

Then came the ultrasound.

She wasn’t expecting what appeared on the screen: two babies. She was carrying twins.

For a moment, *Sophie lay quiet and stunned. Afterward, our licensed medical staff sat with her and asked how she was feeling. Knowing what she now knew, *Sophie said there was no way she would consider abortion. Adoption was still something she might consider, but for now, she was thinking about parenting.

She was excited to schedule a follow-up appointment, where our team will continue walking alongside her.

This is what your support makes possible. You help provide the ultrasound, trained staff, time to listen, the opportunity to pray, and a safe place where a young woman can slow down, receive information, and consider her next step.

As Joshua 23:14 reminds us, “Not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised.”

Thank you for helping us be here when moments like this matter most.

Ways to pray for Sophie:

  • Pray that *Sophie feels God’s love and peace as she considers her next steps.

  • Pray for wisdom and support as she explores parenting and adoption.

  • Pray for the health and well-being of *Sophie and her twins.

  • Pray that her follow-up appointments bring continued care, encouragement, and clarity.
