I’m scared, but I know abortion isn’t what I want.

At 21, *Ashley was sitting with a heart full of questions after learning she was pregnant. The news felt overwhelming, and the weight of her situation settled in quickly as she began to think about her future and the decisions in front of her.

Ashley shared that she did not want an abortion, even though fear and uncertainty were very real. What troubled her most was the thought of telling her parents. She was scared of their reaction and afraid of disappointing them, yet she knew she could not face this alone and that the conversation would eventually have to happen.

As she talked, Ashley shared that she had been considering adoption. The idea of choosing a loving family for her baby brought her a sense of peace. Still, outside voices made things harder. Friends told her that abortion was the “better” option and pressured her to believe that placing her baby with another family would be wrong. Their words left her feeling confused and isolated.

When Ashley came to our pregnancy center, she didn’t come for someone to decide for her. She came for space, clarity, and compassion. We listened without judgment, shared accurate information, and gave her time to process her thoughts and feelings.

In a moment filled with fear and uncertainty, Ashley found support and the reassurance that she didn’t have to walk through this alone.

Ways to pray for her:

  • Pray that she seeks God’s plan for this pregnancy.

  • Pray that she gains confidence to share the news with her parents, and that they respond with love and support.

  • Pray that she has wisdom and peace as she considers her options.

  • Pray that she feels supported and is not pressured by the opinions of others.
