A Simple Way to Give With Purpose

Generosity looks different for every person and every family. For some, it means giving regularly throughout the year. For others, it may mean making a larger charitable contribution at a particular time or setting aside resources today that can support ministries for years to come.

One tool that can help make giving more intentional is a Donor-Advised Fund, or DAF.

A DAF is a charitable account established through a sponsoring organization. You make charitable contributions to the fund, which may include cash, publicly traded stock, or other eligible assets. Then, over time, you can recommend grants through your DAF sponsor to qualified nonprofits and ministries that reflect your values and giving priorities.

For donors, a DAF can offer several benefits. It can simplify charitable giving by organizing support for multiple organizations through one account. It can provide flexibility by allowing you to contribute when it makes sense financially and recommend grants later. It may also be helpful when giving appreciated assets or planning for a year when your income or charitable giving is higher than usual.

For some families, a DAF becomes more than a financial tool. It can become a way to involve children and grandchildren in conversations about generosity, faith, stewardship, and the causes your family wants to support together.

Setting up a DAF is usually straightforward. You select a sponsoring organization, open an account, make a charitable contribution, and then recommend grants to eligible organizations over time.

October 8, 2026 is DAF Day, a national day that encourages people with Donor-Advised Funds to put those charitable resources to work by recommending grants to the organizations and causes they care about.

If you give through a Donor-Advised Fund, we invite you to recommend a grant to the Community Pregnancy Center this fall. Your grant helps sustain ministry programs that share the Gospel, support new moms and families, provide compassionate care, and celebrate the gift of life.
